The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide is a set of guidelines and best practices put together by the Project Management Institute (PMI). It is also the focus of the most widely recognized project management certification available: the Project Management Professional credential. This VTC course is part one of a four part series meant to provide users with a thorough understanding of the PMBOK Guide and complete preparation for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam and the Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) exam. This course will provide users with a high-level overview of the entire PMBOK Guide and will set the foundation for the courses that follow. Users will gain an understanding of the project life cycle and project phases as managed by the PMBOK Guide's project management processes. Work Files are included. Vanina Mangano

Vanina Mangano is a certified Project Management Professional with experience in project management, business analysis, and strategic management. Since 2007, Ms. Mangano has provided specialized training within the field of project management and business analysis. As a published author/expert, Ms. Mangano continues to help others enhance their project management and business analysis skills through training, consulting, and courseware development. Ms. Mangano, a graduate of the University of California - Riverside, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), and CompTIA Project+.
